Having worked 10 years in the North Carolina public school system and over 10 years in private practiced, Dr. Moynahan is aware of the necessary components needed to complete both DSM-5 evaluations and North Carolina-Department of Public Instruction evaluations that meet school eligibility requirements. Her training and experience in the areas of exceptional children and school law and polices allows her to take a all-inclusive approach to assessment, one that reflects the needs of physicians, specialists, teachers, parents, and IEP Teams. This in turn, decreases friction between physicians, parents, and school personnel and helps create a unified front in helping children receive the best possible services.
Dr. Moynahan is well trained to assess and provide consultative services and therapy services. She generally utilizes a cognitive behavior approach to therapy and has experience working with individuals with a myriad of childhood disorders.
PASSEC will accept:
