Kelly C. Moynahan, PhD, LPA, HSP-PA

Dr. Moynahan has an PhD in Clinical Psychology from Walden University, a MA, CAS in School Psychology from East Carolina University, a MS in Psychology from Walden University, and BA in Psychology from Marist College, Poughkeepsie, New York. Dr. Moynahan is Licensed Psychological Associate and Health Service Provider- Psychological Associate as licensed by The North Carolina Psychology Board. She currently has her own practice, Psychological and School Services of Eastern Carolina, PLLC.

Lecturing and workshop experiences, include; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, Using an Alternate Assessment Portfolio, Helping the Multi-Handicapped Child, Functional Curriculum, Communication Based Intervention, Understanding Learning Disabilities, Sensory Integration, Teaching the Autistic Student, School Bus Safety, Proactive Approach to Discipline, Understanding the Exceptional Childrens Referral Process, 1998 Research Presenter North Carolina School Psychology Association in Ashville, North Carolina and 1997 Symposia Presenter; Advanced Interpretation of the WJ-R, Test of Cognitive Abilities. She also was a contributing member of Greenville, North Carolina home newspaper The Daily Reflector’s “Friends of The Family” column. Dr. Moynahan was a Who Who’s 2015 honored member recipient and a 2019 Women of Distinction recipient.

In addition, she has completed her first, currently unpublished, novel entitled Reynard Rouge and is working on her second novel with her father-in-law, John J. Moynahan II.

Dr. Moynahan resides in Greenville, North Carolina with her husband, Patrick, and her two cats Gabby Girl (AKA “WeeGee”) and Sir Winston of Yorkshire (AKA “Schwinnie). The cat featured was her exceptionally talented and handsome cat, Toonses who passed in 2012 but will forever remain in their hearts. Interests include; Special Olympic volunteer, Autism advocate, accomplished artist and photographer, avid reader, poetry and fiction writing, classical flautist, world traveler, light green thumb, and, of course, spoiling her cats.
